Alice Armentrout, Artistic Director
Alice Armentrout received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. She has taught in public and private schools and has toured with children’s choral programs along the east coast. Alice is the Director of Music at Central UM Church . She resides in Radford with her husband Scott, and their sons.
Michael Cline, Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele Instructor
Michael Cline, from Oceana, WV, has been influenced by music since he was ten years old. When he was sixteen, he played guitar and sang in his church band. For the past five years, Michael has been classically trained and educated at Radford University and has been a member of two choirs, guitar ensemble, jazz quartet, jazz ensemble, & concert jazz. He enjoys playing and teaching many different styles of music and his goal is to share his passion for music with others.
Jaclyn Frankenberger, Office Administrator & Bookkeeping
Jaclyn Frankenberger is from North Carolina. She and her husband Daniel, have lived in and raised their three boys in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida before moving to Radford.
Zoe Jones, Piano and Voice Instructor
Zoe Jones is currently enrolled at Radford University as a Music major with a concentration in voice. In addition to vocal experience she also has experience playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele. Zoe has been singing virtually all of her life and began participating in choir when she was 12 years old. She has also aided in a choir workshop and was a judge for governor school auditions. Much of her experience comes from helping high school students prep for their college, all-state, and all-district choir auditions, and is something she hopes to continue as she teaches at the academy.
Danny Nettleton, Percussion Instructor
Danny Nettleton loves playing drums. He started playing in Marching Band and continued to play while attending Union College. He currently plays for the praise band at Centraul UMC where he works as the youth pastor. He is married, has 3 children and resides in Radford.
Sharon Taylor, Art Instructor
Sharon Taylor is a long time Radford resident who has recently retired from nursing. She is active in children’s programs at CUMC, Wonderful Wed, and Vacation Bible School. She has been painting for about 10 years and continues to take art classes in water color.
